CRY JERSEY PDF Print E-mail
CRY Jersey is a branch of CRY UK, that has been in operation for over 12 years. We have 2 charity shops at 42 and 38B  New Street (now renamed "nearly new Street!" as this is fast becoming THE place for Jersey's charity shops) in St Helier. We work very closely with CRY UK, visiting some of the projects with CRY UK teams from time to time, and all our funds raised from both charity shops and from the fundraising events go directly to CRY UK projects.

LATEST NEWS

CHRISTMAS EVENT
We had a lot of fun on Saturday 10th December, as Santa joined us for the day. We served lots of tea, coffee and mince pies and we drew the raffle at the end of the afternoon - we sold all 2000 tickets so we hope to have made about £1,400 profit on the raffle.

JCG VOLUNTEERS
After visiting Jersey College for Girls we have had several volunteers come to help in the CRY shops on a Saturday, and more are keen to join them. We also had three volunteers helping to run a charity Christmas stall for us on Saturday 19th November, where we raised over £100 and sold over £240 worth of our raflle tickets - well done girls you are top sales people!

CLIMB MOUNT KILIMANJARO
From the 29th August to the 4th September (when they reached the top) - 2 brave girls Eleanor (20) and Sarah (18) climbed  Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of CRY Jersey. It was tough going - Eleanor said it was the hardest thing she has ever done, and some of the group had to give up because of altitude sickness. They reached the top and held up the Jersey flag amid cheers from their group. Eleanor has several black toe nails but is delighted to have undertook the challenge. Between them the girls have raised nearly £1,500 for CRY's projects in Africa.
