EMERGENCY RELIEF

CRY has a special emergency relief reserve fund, in case of a world disaster or conflict, especially where local contacts on the ground, well known to the charity, are able to distribute and manage the relief aid and support.

In the past CRY provided 140 tonnes of aid to fleeing Kosovar refugees during the Kosovan war, and support for victims of the Indian Ocean Tsunami. Also, more recently, disaster aid during the earthquakes in Rwanda and China and flooding in the Philippines, in the form of emergency shelter provision for homes, medical clinics & temporary classrooms; transport of aid to remote areas; orphanage refurbishments; and basic needs such as blankets, sheets and nets.
