PLEASE NOTE: Broadly speaking, CRY's financial support for its overseas 'partnership programs' fall into three categories: on-going (usually monthly), ad-hoc and grant-dependent. With ad-hoc and grant-dependent supported programs, the very nature of this support may mean that funds are not necessarily awarded or required to be transferred annually. However, programs available for Project Sponsorship through our website, are those programs which are being supported in the current year. PROJECTS CRY IS CURRENTLY SUPPORTING IN 2011: Home of Hope Resource Centre, Elbasan: 13 children in residential care; 5 young people in supported accommodation; 5 young people supported with their families; 60 children in day care and after care; community family support. Outreach to teenagers and their families.
Bethel Day Centre, Tirana: Over 30 children in 3 day centres, outreach to Roma Communities. Education & Feeding Programme, Dvin: Over 400 students supported through education in a remote & social deprived area. Agricultural programme, Mkchyan: Feeding hundreds of poor & disadvantaged families through employment & training. Shalom Centre, Lovech: 100 poor and orphaned children, local gypsy children, outreach to over 60 young people including evening entertainment, coffee centre for mothers and children. Pregnancy Waiting Houses, STUNG TRENG, PREAH VIHEAR, RATANAKIRI, KRATIE: These Waiting Houses & the local midwife support has had a significant impact on infant & maternal mortality rate in the region. There are plans to replicate these houses in other regions, develop a link with a local school in a deprived area and build an orphanage. ASHA HIV/AIDS Clinic, Mumbai: Supporting 22 children and their families who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS in Mumbai. Health and Community Centre, Qholaqhoe: CRY has supported the development of this vital resource in this, one of the world's poorest nations. Farming training, health care and skills training for young people will give them the tools to change their community and have a hope for the future. Day Centre, Brasov: Over 80 young people living on the streets supported daily and through summer camps, 7 young people living in the night shelter and supported into work, a social canteen reaching out to the poor and disadvantaged in the community. Oasis Night Shelter, Guadalajare: Residential unit for 12 boys providing year-round care; and parenting school for families at risk. New Way School, Armavir: Bursaries for 20 children from deprived & social excluded communities, giving them a high quality education. Drug Rehab Centre, Podgornaya: 80% success rate having a huge impact on the local community & many lives being changes from despair hope. Day Centre, Makhachkala: Outreach to many young people needing training & skills to divert them from lives of drugs and crime. Secondary School, Kigali: In partnership with Restore Rwanda and Equip UK, CRY is helping with the building of a new school that will provide a high quality educational resource. The Bridge Day Centre, Nis: A centre for children, vulnerable young adults and their families who may be experiencing or are at risk of abuse or addictions Think Twice, Cape Town: This HIV/AIDS health education project is impacting on the lives of tens of thousands of children & young people, helping them to cope with the effects of abuse & keep safe. The programmes are also being replicated throughout Africa. Father’s House, Kiev: 20 children supported through CRY sponsorship, all who have been given the chance of a new life away from the streets. Ongoing programmes of work with children living on the streets, summer camps & support to state children’s institutions and support to blind school.
SOME OF THE PROJECTS SUPPORTED IN PREVIOUS YEARS:
Rainbow Farm, Minas Gerais: Residential children's home supporting 40 abandoned children living in 'family type' homes with dedicated carers. Mungunga School, Goma: A CRY grant provided bursaries for 50 displaced children, enabling them to have education and care. New Nation School, Accra: Funding to develop this quality school has helped over 120 children to receive a first class education which will enable them to secure a better future for themselves and their communities. Education and Skills Training Centre, Mandalay: These centres are providing courses for over 1.800 students from the most excluded backgrounds and communities, giving them opportunities to access IT and English language teaching. Education and Health Centre, Mindoro: Over 50 children receiving education and skills traning, as well as a health care service being offered to a very deprived and isolated community. Day Centre, Bucharest: Day centre for disadvantaged children, residential care, fostering and family support.

Refugee Camp, Rwanda/Burundi Border: CRY was able to support medical input to this needy area of Rwanda where many refugees lack basic health care. Refugee School Dormitory and Dental Clinic, Kaichanaburi: This has provided a valuable resource for over 25 Burmese Refugee children living in this area. They have had the oppotunity to receive an education and health care which has previously been denied to them by the authorities. House of the Child, Sevastopol, Crimea: Over 90 children, many with disabilities, receive care love & support. This Centre is the only resource in the region to cater for such children. Childhood Immunisation Programme, Abyan Governance: In a nation where many children do not live to adulthoo, this programme aims to rpovide health care and immunisation programmes which give a hope and a future to many. Farming God’s Way, Harare & Rural: An agricultural programme which is helping families & communities to become self-sufficient. Cedar Project, Harare & Rural: A local church-based project which supports children & their families who have been bereaved through HIV/AIDS.
