ONLINE GIFTS
Making your gift online is the most efficient way to support Care and Relief for
the Young (CRY) as it saves us time and money. You can do this in one of four
ways:
The Facts
-
Charity Choice - UK taxpayers can Gift Aid their donations
- it is quick and easy and there is no need to register or sign up.
Currently (02/08) no charges are made by Charity Choice or the Co-operative
Bank for any donations made.
-
ePDQ - To donate through ePDQ (a division of
Barclaycard
Merchant Services), please complete the form
below. Funds are taken in your own currency by your credit card issuer,
although you need to specify the donation amount below in GB Pounds.
If you are a UK TaxPayer, please download,
complete and return a GiftAid form so that we can claim an extra amount (currently 28%) at no extra cost to
you on this and any future donations. ePDQ charge the charity a flat monthly
charge plus a percentage of the transaction value and a transaction
processing charge. The transaction fee total typically works out at around
7%.
-
PayPal - PayPal payments made to the charity
from PayPal Balances, PayPal Instant Bank Transfer and PayPal eCheque
are exempt of commission charges, but for credit or debit card funded
payments, the charity will be charged 3.4% plus £0.20 GBP. If the
transaction involves a currency conversion, it will be completed at a retail
foreign exchange rate determined by PayPal, which is adjusted regularly
based on market conditions. This exchange rate includes a 2.5% spread above
the wholesale exchange rate at which PayPal obtains foreign currency, and
the spread is retained by PayPal.
-
JustGiving
- You can make either one-off or recurring (regular giving) donations
through JustGiving. UK taxpayers can Gift Aid their donations online.
Justgiving charge the charity a 5% transaction fee plus a 1.4% credit card
charge. Fundraisers can also set up their own
fundraising pages.
-
JustGive
(USA)
- CRY USA INC is registered as a 501(c)(3) public
charity in North America so contributions are deductible under section 170
of the Internal Revenue Code. (Employer ID No. 20-3157407). JustGive issue a
tax certificate and deduct just 3% of donations to cover transaction costs.
You can choose to make a one-off gift, or a recurring (regular) donation
which you can easily stop at any time should you wish to.
OTHER GIVING OPTIONS
UK residents can also donate by personal cheques,
bank transfer, and bank standing order
all of which are very cost effective. For Non-UK residents, please note that sending low value personal checks (e.g. less than 75 EURO, $75 USD) is not really cost effective because of high fixed cost
foreign currency bank processing charges.
