In Cambodia, 25% of children are underweight, and less than half of the population have access to clean water and toilets . For vulnerable children, or those who need to live away from home in order to go to school, it becomes even more important that they are able to grow up in a place that will support them in their development and meet their needs.

CRY is proud to support the Child Development Centre in Stung Treng. This centre supports 12 children, providing a home for them near their schools. They receive food, skills training, computer classes, English classes and learn about gardening. The centre recognises that it isn’t just academic development that is important. They are also committed to the children’s character and social development, making sure that they leave the school with the knowledge and confidence to go onto successful careers. They are taught various skills and professions, from hairdressing, to fixing bikes, cooking, gardening and livestock training.

“Thanks so much for being generous to us. We will never ever forget this great support by CRY. “ Sopheak, Project Partner.
