Coronavirus Update

Thank you for your ongoing support to CRY, which enables our work around the world to continue.

As the coronavirus spreads across the world, from rich to poor, or young to old, lives are being changed for the foreseeable future. While we may not know what tomorrow holds, we continue to support children and their families where we can each day to provide necessities and care to those who are struggling at this time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you too through this current situation. Please get in contact if there’s anything we can specifically pray for you for; we’d love to stand with you.

We would like to share how we at CRY are handling the impact of the coronavirus spread in the projects we work with.

Our partners have been affected in various ways: in Pakistan, if parents do not work, the family doesn't eat. Sadly, with the isolation rules being put in place there as well, families cannot work and therefore are going hungry. We are supporting as much as we can with food packs. in the Philippines, families face a similar situation where they live hand to mouth. CRY's monthly support is providing vital care packs for families which include vitamins, soap, 2 tins of high protein food and seedlings to continue their vertical gardening of vegetables. in Greece, refugees cannot access food. Our partners have been able to send round food packs and continue our work while other NGOs are shutting down. Our support here is essential at this time. These are just a few examples of the effects the coronavirus is having. Please keep an eye out on social media for more stories and updates, and please do stay in contact with us through email at ukoffice@cry.org.uk, or on social media.

As you will likely know, the CRY shops have had to close which will impact us greatly for the foreseeable future.

Without our retail income, it will understandably impact the support we can give to our projects. This can mean the difference between food and hunger for some families.

Please, instead of visiting our shops, would you consider donating your usual shop-spend to CRY through our website?

It would change the life of a child and their family. Here's how:

£12.50 provides a food pack for a family for 1 month in Iraq

£5 feeds a child for a week in Cambodia

£1.70 feeds a child breakfast and lunch per day in Kenya

Please help us to continue our work by going to our donate page.

Thank you so much. All of us at CRY wish you God’s peace during this current time.
