CRY is delighted to partner with the work of Hasken Arewa Foundation. The project we support is dedicated to sponsoring out-of-school children in Northern Nigeria, aiming to reignite their educational journey. Many of these children have faced disruptions due to the harsh impact of poverty, the loss of parents to banditry, and the challenges of ignorance. Additionally, they strive to support community schools lacking teachers by hiring dedicated educators.
Our partner’s commitment involves covering a spectrum of needs for these children, including school fees, uniforms, school bags, shoes, sweaters, blankets, and essential writing/reading materials. In cases where necessary, they will also provide a daily meal. Simultaneously, they ensure the sustainability of community schools by covering teacher salaries. This multifaceted approach seeks to address not only the immediate educational needs of the children but also the broader challenges faced by the community schools.
