Type of Support Support Refugees

Following the military coup in Myanmar in February 2021 thousands of people were forced to flee from their villages as the conflict(s) intensified. 2 years later and over 1.5 million are now displaced from their homes. Many families and children have found refuge in the border areas of India and Myanmar. Due to security reasons we cannot disclose too much information regarding the details of this project publicly - should you want to know more please e-mail: ukoffice@cry.org.uk.

CRY is able to support Burmese children in their education, especially supporting those in higher secondary education, where young people have missed so many opportunities due to Covid-19 and now the devastating impact of the military coup.

We believe that enabling children to access an outstanding education is crucial. In the midst of chaos, trauma and a new environment, education is providing a pathway towards breaking the cycle of poverty and a light at the end of the tunnel.

Your donations will support refugee children in accessing the aforementioned education.
