Yes — Your Contribution Truly Makes a Difference

Many of us ask ourselves: “In the face of so much suffering, can my contribution really make a difference?” The answer is a resounding - YES.

Every day, headlines remind us of wars, natural disasters, and extreme poverty. It can feel overwhelming—and you’re not alone in feeling it. But even small actions can bring real change.

Why Your Support Matters

  • In 2026, CRY is supporting children in (or from) 9 of the 10 countries* most at risk of humanitarian crises.

  • Nearly 90% of children in extreme poverty live in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, where CRY focuses most of its work.

  • In fragile regions, half of all children live in extreme poverty. CRY is present and helping in many of these.

  • CRY supports children in conflict-affected countries, including (not limited to) Afghanistan, DRC, South Sudan, Nigeria, Haiti, West Bank & Gaza, and Ukraine, providing care, relief, and hope amid violence and displacement.

Your support transforms lives — offering children moments of safety, access to education, meals, and a chance to thrive.

A Challenge to Reflect On

Our planet needs big solutions—but it also needs people, like you,  who keep pushing back against injustice. Even if it feels like a drop in the ocean, your support makes a difference.

We are challenged and challenge you to meditate and act on the following quote

“I am just one person, what difference can I truly make?", said 8 billion people.

Project Focus: South Sudan

South Sudan faces one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. This year, we aim to raise £6,000 to support 24 children with education and essential relief for the year. Your donation provides relief, schooling, and hope to children living through conflict and extreme poverty.
