Charity Dinner: A call to great love.

Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love" - Mother Teresa

Our Far Beyond charity dinner was a great success, with excellent food, wonderful music, and a fantastic atmosphere. However, what left the greatest impact on those in the room was how profoundly inspiring and thought-provoking the event was.

CRY’s CEO shared in greater detail our vision for the next ten years—how it was birthed and how people can play their part in making a difference.

One of our special guests, Natalie Kresge, travelled all the way from California with her husband, Mark. She shared how their obedience to God led them to embrace a more compassionate lifestyle focused on helping others— by (not limited to) fostering, then adopting, and ultimately establishing their own non-profit organisation, which has now become CRY’s main partner in the USA.

Later in the evening, Mark delivered a profound and challenging keynote speech, inviting us to live beyond the present and embrace an eternal perspective. He emphasised that when we adopt this mindset, the way we live our lives—especially in how we help others—transforms completely.

He then shared three key values that his family has embraced and how these could be applied by everyone in the room:

  1. Choose simplicity for the sake of generosity.

  2. Pray consistently for divine opportunity.

  3. Do for one what you wish you could do for everyone.

He concluded by quoting Mother Teresa: “Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.” This quote deeply resonates with our hearts and aligns with our vision for the next ten years.

If each of us plays our part—doing something, however small, with great love and compassion—we can help shape the lives of countless children.
