On the Ground | A prayer written by Emma Jackson for our partners in Goma, RDC.

Dear Father, Our God

We call on you now

To help our brothers and sisters

Who work on the ground

 -

For our Partners in Goma,

Out on the street,

Giving care in the chaos,

Giving food to eat

 -

Would you bless them, we pray

Give them what they need

Give them strength, be their peace,

Fill their spirits indeed

 -

We pray for their hearts

Their safety in that place

We pray for protection

By your holy grace.

 -

We ask you to come

In your power and might

Give them strength right now

In the middle of the fight

 -

Help them look up to you,

You’re where their help comes from

Bring justice and freedom,

And let your will be done.

Amen.
