What do we love?
Liberia is rich in history, culture, and natural beauty. Founded by freed African Americans, it is Africa’s first modern republic and home to diverse ethnic groups, languages, and traditions. Its forests, rivers, and wildlife make it a unique and inspiring country.
What are the challenges?
Many Liberians face poverty, limited job opportunities, and underdeveloped infrastructure. Access to healthcare, education, and essential services remains difficult for children and families, and governance challenges continue to slow progress. Support is needed to help communities thrive.
What are our partners doing?
New Nation Christian Academy is a lower elementary school in the outskirts of Monrovia, a growing area of over 2,000 people where more than 90% are unemployed or living in poverty. Over half of the children under 12 are not in school. The project, launched in September 2025, began with 72 students, six teachers, a principal, a registrar, and a janitor. Its goal is to reduce the number of children unable to afford school by partnering with partners like CRY to provide sponsorship and educational opportunities.
