What do we love?
Madagascar is captivating, stunning and extraordinary. Its culture unites influence from African, Asian and European heritage, its landscape is home to natural wonders, and the Malagasy people are known to enchant visitors with lively music and traditions.
What are the challenges?
Despite the richness of the culture, Madagascar is one of the poorest nations on Earth, making life impossible for vulnerable people, especially children. Poverty, inequality, and access to basic services of healthcare and education mean many are struggling beyond comprehension.
What are our partners doing?
We partner with Le Triomphe, a children’s home that offers a safe and nurturing environment for 36 children, many of whom have been separated from their families. In addition to residential care, Le Triomphe supports over 100 children in the wider community by providing Saturday meals, school supplies, essential aid, and more. They also deliver vital healthcare, baby care, and nutritional support to those in greatest need. Encouragingly, some children are now able to return home as family situations improve, and Le Triomphe helps prepare them for this transition by offering training and life skills to support a brighter future.
