From Our CEO | Dolls for Gaza

Dear all,
A well-known American author once said,
“The children are always ours, every single one of them, all over the globe.”
In a world increasingly polarised—online and in society—CRY and I remain steadfast in our commitment to advocate for every child. Beyond politics, ethnicity, or background, we hold to one simple truth: every child is equal. Each one deserves to be respected, protected, and given the chance to play, laugh, and be cared for.
Over the years, we have followed God’s guidance in serving children from all walks of life. We believe that every child belongs to all of us, and that we share a sacred responsibility to care for each one.
This month, in response to the ongoing situation in Gaza and the West Bank and the displacement of countless children, we have partnered with the Shepherd Society and with a Palestinian women’s cooperative in the Strip that makes handmade dolls.
While this gesture may feel small in the face of such suffering, we want to sponsor 50 dolls for 50 children in Gaza. To date, 15 have been sponsored, and the first batch of dolls has been distributed today.

This appeal is about more than the money required—it is a statement that every child deserves to be loved, to embrace and be embraced. It is our way of saying to these precious children, made in the image of God: we see you, we pray for you, and we care for you.
This August, we invite you to give a one-off gift of £20, which will be used as follows:
£10 will provide a handmade doll for a child in Gaza. More than ever, these children need the chance to play and to find small moments of comfort. A doll is not just a toy—it is a symbol of hope and light in darkness.
£10 will support our ongoing humanitarian work in the West Bank, helping cover medical costs for children. The need has grown dramatically: requests for medical assistance—surgeries, medicines, health insurance, and essential tests—have risen from 166 a year to over 1,000.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and prayers, as we continue our mission to support children in desperate need across the globe.
With much gratitude,
Aimé Gotte - CRY CEO
