What do we love?
Palestinian art, culture, and food are rich with traditions like intricate Tatreez embroidery, the unifying Dabke dance, renowned visual arts by artists such as Sliman Mansour, vibrant Hebron ceramics, and a deep-rooted culture of hospitality where guests are warmly welcomed with coffee, tea, and food. Palestinian cuisine features dishes like Maqluba, a flavorful upside-down rice and vegetable dish, and Kanafeh, a sweet, cheesy dessert soaked in syrup, showcasing the region's rich culinary heritage.
What are the challenges?
The violence in Gaza and the West Bank continues. Families and children are among those who are displaced, jobless, injured, or dying.
What are our partners doing?
Through our charitable, humanitarian, and church networks, we are in a position to support our partners on the ground, The Sheperd Society NGO, in helping children and their families in the West Bank and Gaza. Aid, medication, employment opportunities, and pastoral support are provided to destituate families.
We join them wholeheartedly in praying for a ceasefire, for humanitarian aid to come into Gaza, for peace, justice, comfort, and strength for families who have lost loved ones in the Holy Land.
