1) Increase - A glimpse into what’s to come this Christmas at CRY

As Christmas draws near, we would like to invite you to consider joining us once again in what will be our most ambitious Christmas campaign to date. We’re excited to officially launch our campaign on 14th November, revealing a powerful campaign that will spark important conversations and help raise crucial funds for some of the children we serve.

To illustrate the vital importance of this campaign and the work that it will benefit, this year, we will share the inspiring story of a brave young girl called Lolita from Bolivia, who will be the thread that showcases the importance of the campaign's cause.

This year, driven by faith and fully aware of the urgency of children's needs, our goal is to raise at least £26,000 through this campaign — our biggest target ever, for such a campaign.

If you know of any churches or organisations that might be interested in adopting this campaign as their Christmas appeal, please reach out to hello@cry.org.uk. We would be delighted to provide more details, flyers, videos, and all the resources needed to help raise both funds and awareness for this appeal.

For now, we leave you with a heartwarming preview — a small teaser of what’s to come.

We can’t wait to properly introduce you to Lolita, her ‘big sisters’, and our amazing partners on the ground, this upcoming Christmas season.

2) Pray | Praying for Gen Z Amid Global Unrest

In recent months, several countries have witnessed demonstrations led by Gen Z — particularly in places where we serve, such as Peru, Madagascar, Nepal, and the Philippines, among others. Beyond the politics, we feel compelled to pray: for this generation, for the governments involved, for the injustices and disconnection they are responding to. We pray that the civil right to demonstrate will be respected, that violence from both protestors and authorities will cease, and that dialogue will be marked by clarity and peace.

Ultimately, we ask that the outcome of these movements would lead each nation closer to peace, justice, and lasting economic stability. You can join us in praying for this topic by reading and praying in your heart the following prayer.

3) Shape | CRY Leadership Academy: Exciting Updates and New Opportunities

Our first pilot year of the CRY Leadership Academy was a great success. Along the way, we also gained valuable insights—particularly about how to make the programme more accessible to young adults. With this in mind, we are excited to relaunch the Academy in September 2027, featuring two new formats, updated training courses, and a range of other exciting opportunities.

One of the main changes is our programme structure. We recognise that dedicating a full year to charity work may not be feasible for everyone. To make participation more flexible, we have introduced two options:

  • Option 1: A full gap year, running from September to July.

  • Option 2: A two-term placement, either September to March or January to July.

Please contact us to find out more or to register your interest for September 2027.

4) Giving Focus | From Breakfast to Brighter Futures, in Haiti.

This month, we want to highlight the vital work of our partners in Haiti—one of the world’s ongoing crises that rarely makes the headlines anymore. We support Hope House, an amazing NGO bringing education and daily relief to some of the most vulnerable children on the island.

As part of Hope House, a school is run alongside the feeding programme, ensuring children not only learn but are nourished too. Through the Breakfast Club, each child receives one hot, nutritious meal a day, with much of the food grown on the farm and at the house. During school holidays, families are supported with dried goods and oil to cook at home.

You can help us continue this vital work, feeding children—by giving to this project today, by clicking on the donation button below.

Although the video above is outdated, it offers a glimpse of some of the children being supported at Hope House.

Alternatively, you can explore all the different ways to donate by visiting www.cry.org.uk/donate.

“If you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.” — Isaiah 58:10
