A CRY For Peace

A letter from our CEO

Dear supporters,

In light of current world events and conflicts erupting on multiple fronts, we are launching this appeal as a tangible response to the escalating violence and instability affecting so many communities.

For some time now, through and alongside our partners, we have been working in several conflict-affected regions around the world. Sadly, for us and for those we work with, the reality of conflict is not new. Yet in recent weeks, we have received a growing number of urgent requests from partners on the ground, asking for prayer — for protection, provision, and peace.

We have been deeply concerned by reports that nearly 1 in 6 children worldwide are living in areas affected by conflict (according to UNICEF), a shocking statistic. Following recent events, the number may now be even higher. Behind this statistic are real lives: children facing displacement, trauma, hunger, disrupted education, and daily insecurity.

At times like these, many of us can feel powerless in the face of global escalation. Yet we believe that what may seem like a drop in the ocean can still become part of a rising tide of hope.

We invite you to take action — to push back against war with prayer, compassion, and generosity.

You can support our CRY for Peace Appeal. 100% of funds raised will go directly towards supporting our long-standing partners working with vulnerable children in conflict zones and fragile contexts.

Current conflict-affected areas/countries where we are engaged include:

  • Iraq & Kurdistan

  • Lebanon

  • West Bank/Gaza

  • Afghanistan

  • Pakistan

  • Ukraine

  • Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo

  • Northern Nigeria

  • Myanmar

Beyond giving, we also invite you to pray. Pray for peace. Pray for protection. Pray for de-escalation. Pray for children and families caught in the midst of conflict. If you find yourself at a loss for words, we invite you to join us in praying this prayer.
