Iron Sharpens Iron.

We provide learning opportunities to our partners in the Global South through third-party agencies, internal training, and by organising forums and conferences.

1) CRY Education Forum 2026 - For African Leaders

This year, 2026, the CRY Forum will be in Arusha, Tanzania, this May. Leaders from 14 African nations will come together to share expertise, insights, and ideas on improving education and humanitarian work across the continent and strengthening their local projects.

Below is a case study from our last forum, which took place in Kenya in 2024.

Below, Brother Benjamin from Togo shares his experience and work on the importance of vocational skills training alongside formal education, while Pastor Luc from Burkina Faso listens attentively at our recent forum in Kenya.

Since then, several of the project partners (including Luc!) who attended have introduced similar initiatives in their own countries. This is a snapshot of the continental impact these gatherings can have.

Above, Sister Elyh from Madagascar shares about their vital work with children.

When organising conferences and forums outside of the UK, our philosophy involves CRY organising the events while they are 100% led and delivered by our local native or long-term overseas partners. This approach ensures a grassroots, nuanced understanding of the nation's dynamics, cultures, and the needs of the children in these communities. 2) Third Party online learning

We offer third-party online learning programmes to provide our partners with access to a wide range of educational resources and courses. These platforms offer specialised training and up-to-date knowledge in various fields, ensuring our partners can continuously improve their skills and stay current with industry trends.
